Why can't we take deliberate steps to raise the cognitive capacity through music education of the next generation so that they can build a better world for themselves.

An excerpt from Anita Collins' animated video below:

It turns that playing music is the brain's equivalent of a full body workout. As with any other workout, disciplined structured practice in playing music strengthens brain functions, allowing us to apply that strength to other activities... to solve problems more effectively and creatively in both academic and social settings.

As Dr Collins said it so well in her subsequent TEDx talk in Canberra:

We take deliberate steps to teach our children how to care for this planet so that they may enjoy it in the future.
We take deliberate steps to teach our children how to eat well, exercise and look after themselves and make good choices, so that they may live a full life.
Why can't we take deliberate steps to raise the cognitive capacity through music education of the next generation so that they can build a better world for themselves.
